  • Hot Multiair Abarth 500 planned

    The Abarth versions of Fiat’s 500 and Grande Punto Evo are set to get a 167bhp version of the Multiair engine.

    The frugal yet potent unit has just been fitted to the Mito Quadrifoglio Verde (Cloverleaf), which emits just 139g/km of Co2.

    The facelifted Punto would get the unit in standard form, which would open the door for an even more powerfull Essesse version with around 200bhp.

    Shame it will only go into the Punto after the have attacked it with  the ugly stick!

    Sounds like a great engine. But we already know its a very poor facelift.

    405 Le Mans, Monaro CV8, S2000, MKX 3.8. No more space.

     This could be a better value top performance 500? or will it be more expnesive than the Abarth 500 with the SS kit fitted?
