  • Frankfurt show: Renaultsport Megane 250

    A hardcore version of the new Megane Renaultsport 250 has not been ruled out despite mediocre sales of the last-generation R26R model, Autocar has learned.

    The news comes as Renault officially launches the new Renaultsport Megane 250 at the Frankfurt motor show. It will go on sale in the UK in November as a rival to the VW Golf R and the Ford Focus RS.

     they must do  it, we need these type of car on the road.

    Looks cool, shame about the rear suspension though

    Another cracking 'Halo" Renault , whilst the rest of the range wallow in mediocrity

    shame about the rear suspension though
    Why? Having a torsion beam didnt stop the previous R26 outhandling the Octavia, Leon, Golf, A3 (and even Focus RS according to some reviews) - despite the fact that they all have fully independent rear suspension.

    Maybe. But just think how good it could have been without a cut price rear end!
