These are the first official images of the Skoda Superb estate, which will be officially unveiled at the Frankfurt motor show.

The pictures show its Octavia-inspired styling, and confirms that the innovative split hatchback from the regular model will not feature on the estate.

Well the back end is a huge improvement on the hatch version. Shame about Skoda current headlamp design, it doesnt suit any of them. Its still hard to imagine anyone who wants a Superb buying the standard Hatch, when this looks so much better, and is more useful.

I would also have thought a car which will sell on size and price would have been better off with  a squared off back. If you are going to make an estate as well as a hatch, you might as well make the Estate as big as possible, instead of going for the slightly more stylish sloping rear we have here.

This is probably the best-looking estate out there, and one of the best too.

Q: How do you double the price of a Skoda?

    A: Put £5 petrol in!

Q: What do you call a convertible Skoda?

    A: Skip!

Couldn't agree more with all the points put by Artill.  It seems to be the norm with modern cars that the estate versions look far better than their hatchback/saloon siblings.

Is it just me, or are the rear lights upside down Octavia lights?

Looks good none the less, better than the saloon. If they price it right could do pretty well.

Yet more cutting-edge wit from Topkat. Cutting-edge in 1981, that is. Grow up, sonny.

The Skoda Superb estate is one of the best-looking cars I have seen for quite some time. It has the elegance and gravitas that we used to expect from Stuttgart many years ago, but no longer.

Topkat. Oh dear. Does he ever say anything relevant? Those Skoda jokes are just a tad old, mate. Just a bit. '_'
