This is the facelifted Dodge Caliber, which will be unveiled at the Frankfurt motor show later this month.

The photos show an all-new interior including a redesigned dashboard. Dodge says that it features more chrome detailing and soft-touch materials than before.

Pity they don't import the SRT4... The only version that's remotely interesting.  No doubt too expensive to get the engine euro-approved.

Is that a facelift?  I dread to visualise what it looked like before.  Maybe PininFarina or another reknowned designer can work miracles with it

From the look of things, based on the photographs of course, the interior seems minimal; the way it should be. Even though they could have used something better instead of the knobs.

Problem areas are the tail and the wheel arches. If this vehicle can not do not just a few meters, but at least a few ten meters on the drag strip just on its rear two wheels, then it does not deserve those wheel arches.

I doubt if this car will attract many MENSA members. However, a great honeymoon transport if you're off to marry your cousin...

These are the worst cars on sale in Canada right now. I live in Ontario. We produce more cars than the UK in a year. Unfortunately is mostly stuff like this.

I also work in the industry and have had the misfortune of repairing a few of these cars. Crap. Pure bean counter crap.

The last Neon Srt4 was interesting, low, mean looking. The Caliber Srt4 is such a pile. Under-Steer! Torque-Steer! No Brakes. And the interior is on par with a mid 80's Espace. Plastic like LEGO.

     Run!

This evening I’ve done a quick bit of research on Autotrader; precisely 100 Calibers listed, the cheapest of which is a 2006 model on 32,000m at £5,799.

Now I love a car that depreciates like the popularity of a BB housemate, but even that's just not enough for someone as tight-fisted as me to overlook its "country-cousin looks".  Why, a KIA Magentis plummets far more spectacularly, and that doesn't look nearly so inbred...

Premium? Premium schremium! I can't get excited about a damped glovebox.

I have a Caliber CRD SXT and it is 3 years old has a VW engine gives 55 MPG, leather trim and lots of goodies and has never let me down.

I bought it from a dealer for £12k 3 years ago and I have been offered £8000 from our local dealer even if I don't want to PX!

It looks unusual compared to mundane Fords and French rubish but I like something that stands out.

It is a very good car! My car before was a Land Rover that went wrong 23 times in the two years I had it and I lost £22,0000 in those two years!

I know what I would prefer to buy!

I have one, a CRD, and its given me excellent service over the last 18 months, pleased as punch. Looks great too, though I think the alloys on the photo above dont really do it justice.

I am on my 2nd Dodge Caliber SXT CVT and find it to be an excellent car. All the Press reports in my opinion are mostly inaccurate. Yes it has a few faults but a better spec. for the price than any other 2 litre auto hatchback. The interior face lift appears to be  a very big improvement with softer plastic  but a more economical Petrol engine is required. Urban MPG claimed 28 mpg but can only get 22/24  in Town. The Tyre pressure monitor Gauge is excellent very accurate and EVERY car should have one. Would like to have slimmer A pillars for better visibility, the floor level interior instep is much too high and should be lowered. Very comfortable seats & excellent logical instrument layout ,
