    General Motors has confirmed that production of the next-generation Corvette C7 will start in 2012.

    The announcement was made as part of GM’s two-year product plan for its four core brands – Chevrolet, Buick, Cadillac and GMC.

    I guess smaller is relative, the V8 will most likely be the same 5.5 liter utilized in next year’s GT2 car.

    To the Project Manager of the C7

    Please spend an extra $1,500-2,000 per car to produce a nicer interior for the C7.

    The only thing that lets the C6 and ZR1 down is the crappy interior. The dashboard looks out of place even in a Chinese-made car. The Cadillac boys put a decent interior into the CTS and I can't see why Chevrolet cannot.

    Also, make the C7 a global car like Nissan did with the GT-R. Do it right and the halo effect from the C7 will save you millions in marketing expenses.
