How is the Mito going down in Japan?

I read a while back that the majority of Japanese buyers were superstitious about their cars and like them to have happy faces or a cheerful expressions represented by the head lights and grill.  Is this just an urban myth or is there something in it.

If it is true, the Mito is hardly the happiest looking car on the market?

    It's all about the twisties....

I was wondering how the Mito was selling in this country?

Apart from the some product placement (Coronation Street, Emmerdale (!)) I've only ever seen one or two on the roads.

Are Alfa trying to make themselves special by making a limited edition. Not that impressive to be honest. And besides we'll probably never see one unless we go to Japan. Maybe they think they've built a supercar that costs a lot of money to make so they've deceided to only make 150.

Not sure about your end of the world, but there are loads in Edinburgh!
Has the most boring car ever created, but I'm enjoying bangernomics in a Toyota Corolla 1.6 GS in green!

I think it has quite a happy face - as happy as an owlet can look, anyway...

Audi did a (bright) Imola Yellow a few years ago - this should be called Dijon, though I think someone else has used that name. And why yellow for Japan, dare I ask?!
