Love to see the "new" old school AC Mk6 can still show the new ZR-1 it's behind..
How much does the Mk6 cost now?

The two cars have essentially the same engine, except the LS9 is supercharged. The extra 212 or so horsepower the ZR1 has was not enough to offset the extra ton of weight it was carrying. In other words results were as expected; the ZR1 faired as good as or probably better than any other GT car could hope to muster against the Cobra.

So assuming there's room under the bonnet, what happens when you fit the supercharger gubbins from the ZR1 into the Cobra?

You spin the rear wheels until they are the consistency of pudding.

You mean the extra half-tonne of weight. The Cobra is not 518kg.

    Yes I did; thanks.

    Cobra 1025 kg = 2255 lbs

    ZR1 1522.7 kg = 3350 lbs

    1095 lbs difference

Oh for god sake. Have you ever seen a drag race that wasn't in a straight line?

If you haven't driven a particular car don't say you have just to prove a point. It doesn't fool anybody and is bloody annoying.

Had a feeling the AC would win. As steve said, lightness.

I happen to remember watching a six way drag race on Top Gear.

The Atom mullered the Corvette and the LP640.

9ff, Evo X and G Whizz were the other racers.

    And that's that!
