Returning seven-time Formula One world champion Michael Schumacher is to get one million euro (£850,000) per race, according to reports from Germany.

Schumacher already gets around five million euro (£4.25m) per year from Ferrari in his non-driving advisory role and this is set to be extended beyond the end of 2009.

In addition to the one million euro for every race, Schumacher is set to pick the same amount of money again as a bonus for every victory he manages.

Come on, Kimi gets at least three times that amount... and he won only one championship!!

Schumacher will struggle a bit in Valencia (he doesn't know the car and the track too) but I reckon that in Spa he will be hard to beat...

The F60 is not a great car (a Ford Focus RS would be faster on british roads for sure) but I'm positive we will see some magic out of it.

It's a pity that it will be on the less interesting track...

 

with slicks this year though the track will be a lot faster, so may make some more excitement than last time.

 

If I were the manager for another team and Ferrari asked me for special permission to test their car, I'd say "sure, but only on the understanding that Schumacher displays 'L' plates during the race".

I just hope he's not going to be hesitating at the junction like a lot of older drivers when he has to rejoin the circuit after pit stops...
