"Winterkorn told Autocar that he believes there is no reason why Porsche volume should not rise from the current high of 100,000 cars a year to 150,000, once global car demand has 'normalised'.
The expansion will have no detrimental effect on Porsche's perceived exclusivity in Europe"
Rubbish. The expansion of the range to include vehicles that have previously not been in Porsche's portfolio will have a detrimental on exclusivity alone, and that's without the extra volume.
What he actually means is - We are going to premium price even further and the growing economies will be mug enough to to take them. Porsche will now primarily be an exclusive brand, not a sports car manufacturer.
It's all about the twisties....
