Ferrari driver Felipe Massa will race again, according to his personal doctor.

Dino Altmann told the Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport that the trauma suffered by Massa was not as bad as first thought.

"I have no doubt Felipe will race again," said Altmann, "I'm sure of that.

I'm glad the prognosis is good, it's up to Felipe, his wife and family and his doctors to decide if and when he races.

He may decide to stop

Bernie Ecclestone is doing his job.  He has to hedge the possibility of one of the top drivers being absent for the rest of the season to deal with commercial reality that such an absebce may have.

It'll be difficult to assess when the best time is for him to come back

There's no in season testing, so he can't spend a day doing laps and reaclimbatising himself, which is what Mika Hakkinan did after his crash in Aus.
