What is it?

This is the new Renault Scenic, launched in the UK after its debut in Europe last month. Now in its third generation, the car remains a vital part of Renault's range, not least because the original Scenic pioneered the compact MPV class and sold over two million units.

You have Renault to thank that your C-max exists as they invented this niche. In fact Renault created lots of niches and others followed.

The Scenic is Haute Couture to the C-Max`s Primark.

 You have either never driven a C-Max or you are not very tall, as I found the bulky centre console with gear lever digs into my left leg. Very uncomfortable.

The interior quality on the C-Max isn't that great either, alot of hard plastic, the ride is very firm and crashy and they aren't a great deal more practical than a standard Focus hatch.

 But hey they handle superbly and that's all that's required from a mini MPV!!
