  • Urine could power future cars

Urine-powered cars could be available in six months with new technology developed by scientists from Ohio University.

Using a nickel-based electrode, the scientists claim they can create cheap hydrogen from urine that could be used in fuel cells to power cars, houses and other appliances.

i'm looking forward to the Shell V-Piss extra enriched performance version.

the diesels owners can look forward to Poo-power Plus.

BP are churning up Ultimate Sick, while Tesco keep the engines cool providing Super Sweat 99.

For the LPG cars there is the new Butane Bogies additive, and for plugin electric cars, they have a new KERS, Kinetic Ejaculate Recovery System. using the the power of orgasm to top up battery power.

I was hoping this would slash motoring costs but the whole thing seems to be riddled with problems.

I can just imagine Max Mosley suggesting this as the way for F1 to go forward as a swan song to his illustrious *** up of FIA control !!
My life is now all about driving very slowly along the deserted tracks surrounding my farm here in France in my 300TDi Defender, but having said that I can always recall my fast sideways days of times gone by.

Actually its not that daft and like the guy said, it does not mean national models but for instance on a farm it could contribute to the overall energy equation i.e. as they say heaitng the home etc....especially as it costs les energy to extract it re. water (one of the the main issues with hydrogen).

As folks know, some diesels have fluid injected re. emissions alteration.....that fluid as I understand is effectively a man made Urea which was initially taken from animals urine.....if memory serves.

The issue always was collection! however, in the rich map of local power generation (which I think I also got slatted for yet the gov. are sticking money into now...not because of me but simply becuase its the correct think to do)....you will find you get different systems and that will add to the rich mix of production means.

Ps; the local generation (in whatever form) means all the idiots (and they are idiots) moaning on about electric cars and the "grid cannot cope" (there are some who frequent teh autocar forums) are again proved wrong.......local generation is the future, homes that are net proceducers and not net users etc are the future......electric cars here we come.....hello Chevy Volt, Merc, Tesla, Fisker cars (and versions/tech versions) thereof....unlukcy Prius and Insight.....as I have said countless times.....Prius and Insight hybrid should only be applied to certain sizes of cars and Toyota and Honda got it way wrong.......eventually of course all cars will be battery powered/Chevy Volt type system.

I just want to clarify a point here before the discussion degenerates any further:  personally, I think it's disgusting!

And for everybody's information, I will NOT be sitting on top of a glorified bedpan with my trousers dangerously down around my ankles in the way of the foot pedals while behind the wheel in the company of others who can see, hear - and SMELL - combustion, internal as well as external, proceeding apace - not to mention the risk of fire, and serious burns to one's unmentionables.

Why, I can sense my pubic hairs singeing quietly inside my underwear as I type...

And if any of you out there think I'm going to point and squirt through a plastic pouring sieve in the middle of a crowded supermarket carpark, you've got another think coming...

Overheard in a farmyard dairy pen:  "I'm not exposing my udder to that lot each time I have to take a pee..."

What an excellent idea!!  All the M-Way services can be turned into fuel refineries.

Think of all the times you've had to take a leak at the services - only in the future you'll get a heavy discount for spending a penny!  We are the oil rigs of the future!
