  • Qatar 'makes Porsche bid'

    The Gulf state of Qatar has made a bid for Porsche, according to media reports.

    German newspaper Der Spiegel is reporting that Qatar has offered about seven billion euros (£6 billion) for a stake in Porsche, plus its Volkswagen AG stock options.

    Well done to the current family members of the Porsches and the Piechs.

    I'm not so sure. I think Volkswagen has got far too big for their boots lately and making demands just doesn't seem to work these days. Porsche probably see Quatar as a good investor as research would probably show that the Middle-East is a good money earner for the company. Actually having them in bed with you could further strengthen their client base.
