Surely two Auditing companies can't be wrong, why does the Government nees to waste MORE tax opayer's money in finding out something which doesn't really help anyone get a new job or feed mouths.

The actions of the Government in this affair all point towards a cover-up to hide their role in the collapse. They talk big about loans and finance guarantees but when it comes to it they just fail to hand out any cash, they did it here and they are doing it again with Jaguar/LandRover. Mandelson is just full of hot air; why anyone believes a word he says is beyond me, he must have one of the most discredited careers in politics of any minister (except his old boss Blair).

Ah yes, but a woman scorned..
On this subject though; Why is it that when there were several thousand people directly and indirectly affected by this collapse, many of whom are surely car enthusiasts and therefore read these forums, are there so few comments? Are they so loyal to the Directors and the Government that they won't criticize their behaviour? Or have they, like most of the rest of us, just had a belly full of this nonsense?

The SFO should look at how the tax payer was diddled out of 16 million!

The referral to the SFO will delay publication of the report until after the next election. I wonder why that might be...
