    Porsche 911 production may be cut later this year if demand doesn't pick up.

    "We have to think about this if car sales continue to develop like this and do not recover again," a Porsche source told Automotive News.

    "Manufacturer plans to cut production as sales are down." Not exactly news - simple Keynesian economics, that. Demand goes down, so supply must follow.

    Also the conditionality in the sentence "production may be cut" makes this even less of a story...

    Their US sales (of all vehicles) were down to 902 units last month, compared to 2,650 in June 2008.

    They're going to have to cut production somewhere to deal with that! Hopefully it will be Cayennes mostly...
