I'm pretty sure a lot of people said that about the Lamborghini Countach.

I think this is a great thing from Citreon, build wacky concept, find people actually crazy enough (and rich enough) to buy one build and sell it, possibly for a small profit.  Raises the profile of the company, hopefully opens up design avenues no-one else was brave enough to try and doesn't cost citreon very much to do.

    I love it.

It'd be nice if they used a Maserati V8- at least there's some historical connection..

I would buy one!....I really think it is to be applauded, I think it frees up the ground for more concept type styling in production cars i.e. how many times have you seen a concept car and thought "I would love that"...but then in production it does not make the same ground.

The Ford Focus really broke a mould, next up the Nissan Cube, Honda Civic even Smart in its own way etc etc; of the modern age these moved the debate on; I think this (I know a super car) will move it on again and it will filter through; other firms are stepping on also, the new Focus (coming out next year or the year after?).....etc......we are seeing more of that concept aspect actually starting to come through into product.

Me I think its brilliant! more power to them.....and I would most certainly buy one.

Ps-I know we have cars like the E Type and DS etc but reference "modern age".

Wonder if it'll have one of those unique Citroen steering wheels?

    I love it.

Bespoke interior, concept car looks and good old fashioned V8 performance.  Brilliant.

Now Citroen, lets have something a little more sporty from your road car range.

    It's all about the twisties....

Oh dear, another set of accountants have twigged that there are a group of people out there with more money than sense. I'm sure every car manufacturer bean counter now has a post-it note stuck to his computer screen that reads "A fool and his money are easily parted..." Damn you Bugatti for starting this recent round exploiting the vanity of the hyper rich who want to brag that they own things beyond the reach of most. Hideous, pointless and cynical, there should be a law against this kind of crap. Though, on a positive note, at least there's only going to be six of these gurning mingers.
1/1/12, the attack on the moobs begins...

Agree with all that Teg. The concept look fantastic, well done Citroen for having the balls to make it.

As for the road cars isn't it about time Citroen made a version of the C4 that celebrates their WRC domination? And I don't mean with a 1.6 petrol/diesel engine either but a proper 2 litres turbo to take it to the Focus RS.

If you haven't driven a particular car don't say you have just to prove a point. It doesn't fool anybody and is bloody annoying.

Driver vision looks awful. This could be the first car with a forward-facing TV camera.

I am also of the opinion that this car is no looker.  However, the existence of supercars like these will only make our roads more interesting and it is great that they are available as an option to those who can afford them.  I have no idea about your financial status, but to say that there should be a law against this kind of crap makes it seem like you are awfully bitter about not being in a position to afford a car like this.  You make mention of Bugatti exploiting the hyper rich.  I hope you are aware that the Veyron is an engineering masterpiece and that Volkswagen make a loss on every one that they sell.  At the end of the day, if Citroen are able to sell all GTs that they build, it will mean that they made the correct choice in deciding to build it.
