  • New Citroen C3 launched

    Jun 29, 2009 12:31 PM

This is the new Citroen C3 supermini, which arrives in UK showrooms early next year.

The Citroen C3 supermini is a vital model for the company, and it will make its public debut at the Frankfurt show in September alongside the production version of Citroen’s DS premium supermini.

Looks good, Citroen seem to be on a roll at the moment. I just hope Citroen don't keep quality down to create a bigger gap between the C3 and DS.

Looks really good, Citroens roll continues. How did they manage to get a 300 ltr boot in what is still quite a small car at under 4metres? Hopefully it's not at the expense of interior room.

Hopefully a typical mid-range VTR with smaller wheels and without the large windscreen will still look good.

If you haven't driven a particular car don't say you have just to prove a point. It doesn't fool anybody and is bloody annoying.

My word, Citroen is on a role. The C6 is still my fave right now, closely followed by the C5.

Looks very good, a simple and fresh design, much nicer than the DS3 which, in my opinion,  looks far too contrived.

This looks like quite a good effort.  Not following the crowd, not trying to make it 'sporty' .... with the UK's utter sh*te roads what we need is a small cheap to run, well made and good riding small car.  Citroen might well have just made one of the most relavent cars to the UK publics real needs.

Btw, I hate their silly windscreens that go over the head, I want a windscreen of a normal size and then a glass roof.  This gives me plenty of light, but also allows sun visors to be used effectively.  I am just not a fan of a receeding hair line on a car.

Looks great , except for that "receding hairline"

Not bad. Let's see if the driving experience, real world quality, reliability and refinement match the aesthetics.

i like the windscreen. sadly as it appears to be optional, no one will buy it. I havent seen one Astra with the big screen they made so much fuss about.

405 Le Mans, Monaro CV8, S2000, MKX 3.8. No more space.

    love it !

i think that will be the next runaround for the missus and kids and i will take a used C6 once the prices have softened some more....

Citroen are on a roll at the moment and have some great looking cars..far better than selling badge engineered 106 and re-bodied 306's as they were doing 10 years ago.

    what a turnaround

I think you will find the C4 shares much with the 307/8 and the badge engineered 106 has been replaced with a rebadged Toyota.

    No turnaround.

You know full well that the 107 is not a rebadged Aygo. All 3 were designed at the same time to be all bar the same to save costs. Something which is very popular I believe.

The fact that Citroens share platform components with Peugeot is an irrelivance in the 21st century, most manufacturers do it. Citroens look and feel little like Peugeots to drive (If my C5 drove like a 407 I wouldn't have bought it). You seem to be trying to compare the new C3/207 with the old 106/Saxo.

    No comparison.
