Hmmmm, hasn't really improved the looks has it?  They had a great opportunity to do something about it but missed again!

I fear the 207 is a car we've become "used" to stying wise.

Glad to see the introduction of Bluetooth connectivity as standard though.

Oh good! They made it uglier.

Can someone please tell me what Peugeot is for?
(Apart from cost sharing so Citroen can make decent cars?)

Not sure why but I think the facelifted 207 looks smoother and less awkward than it looked when launched.  I like it better now.

*Applauds Peugeot as they stumble toward total destruction courtesy of their stylistically bankrupt design department*

The 207 was always a little incongruous. Even if it had a face that suggested some degree of stamina and aggression. But it was also lumbered with a 'dumpy' arse. Now it just looks unhappy. Or.. somehow depressed. Like a model on a Senekot advert, trying to look pretty while at the same time 'act' constipated. Peugeot are REALLY annoying me lately... with their brutal designs. I once loved this brand. Around the time the 405 was popular and I remember thinking the 406 was stunning. Its all been downhill since the 307. Why does everything they build have to have an element of monospace to it? And that STUPID grille. I have a theory that they should've returned to a modern interpretation of the '1 Bar' or '3 Bar Grille' between the lights with the main grille below the number plate. Isn't there a trend emerging for a move away from large grilles as manufacturers attempt to create the 'electric car' / 'hydrogen powered' semantic for their vehicles. Look at VW dropping the Audi-aping grille and adopting instead a slim opening between the lights, Honda do it to a degree too. Its more aero, more modern, and more evocative of a car with no 'internal combustion engine.'

Also, has anyone else noticed how the 206 is now sporting a totally new front end, interior, rear bumper and tail lights, ala 207. It still looks great. Then again it was always a pretty little car. The proportions were right...especially compared to the 207.

But I suppose, were I a 207, I would look unhappy too if I had wheelarches shaped by a sightless, ham fisted, self gratifying, twit. Not to mention that grimmace. Terrible. No Grade.

Has anyone else noticed that everytime peugeot release a new car the lion badge on the fron of the car gets bigger. why is this. I was looking at the peugeot 208 concept a while ago and the badge is even bigger. heres the link to see the 208. Tell me what you think. :P

According to the Peugeot UK web site we can't buy them here.  Can in France though....

You are right, they do look better.

Slightly off topic I know, but can anyone explain to me the the thought process behind the Peugeot 'Drive Sexy' campaign with those ridiculous lips which come up at the end of an advert? Its weird and just puts me off the cars, that and the grill.

Haven't a clue what thats about mate. The lips or the 'drive sexy.' Total marketing man dross if you ask me. It reminds me of when they ruined the launch of the classy looking 406 with the stupid "Hero" and "Theres no such thing as an average person" commercials. Idiots.

Perhaps they're targetting women with the drive sexy thing? Apologies to any ladies reading this but as the 'Because I'm worth it' and other similar taglines prove, women remember marketing quite well compared to the average bloke. The marketing man that penned that line clearly never clapped eyes on the old fishwife looking lady driving round these parts in a modified pink and white 107.

I happen to think that, "Peugeot, The Drive Of Your Life," was far superior. Why was that changed? When was last time BMW changed theirs? Although, "The drive of your life," that would be a total untruth now.

I drove a 307 1.4 HDi in France a couple of weeks ago and I couldn't believe it was a car from the same company as the 205, 405 and 306. It felt completely inert to me. I hated it. Nice engine, but ugly, ordinary handling, dull car. The 308 is even uglier.

Peugeot are clearly struggling to keep abreast of their in house cousins Citroen. That 208 rendering from Auto Express says it all. A truly ugly car is in the making. Just look at the new C3. I said it before and I'll say it again. Peugeot SACK your designers and rehire the old chassis boss!

That'd be Pininfarina then (no problem with that) and they should really do something about bringing the dampers back in-house like they said. It's much more important than many think. Actually the "nose" is supposed to be a lion's snout (yup, whatever) and the big piece of plastic is a good way to garner PedPro points. Never found it particularly ugly myself - there are much worse.

I think the 207 is the most pallatable of all the current Peugeot models, although the estate is awkward at the back. The 308 however is a totally different story, whoever signed that off for production?. not in anyway nice. In fact..........hideous.

I have an old What Car from 1974 and it has a 2 page advert for the lovely old 504, stating Peugeots commitment to quality and the fact it makes shock absorbers etc in house to keep the exacting standards they insist on. Revisit your past Peugeot....and soon
