Behind the wheel of the Porsche Panamera Turbo... Watch Video

Sounds like it's not too bad to drive. But bloody hell it's ugly!

    Can't make up my mind

Can't say I enjoyed that. The presenter was just mumbling into his beard, and was so obviously anti the car from the start.

His end quote was "a very impressive piece of kit". How is that anti the car?

Don't talk to me about sophistication, I've been to Leeds!

Not only that, the chap seemed to have a digital watch with a calculator on it too. I was unable to see socks and sandals but I have my suspicions.

    Peace in our forum!

Good video Matt, enjoyed it. As I've posted elsewhere I saw some of these a couple of weeks ago in France and thought the looked alot better in the metal than in the photos I'd seen previously. It's not Quattroporte pretty but I didn't think it was as ugly as others think either.

If I was in the market for a Porsche for the family (sadly the budget doesn't allow) I'd choose one of these over a cayenne every time.

If you haven't driven a particular car don't say you have just to prove a point. It doesn't fool anybody and is bloody annoying.

Seems to be rather better than I would've thought. Maybe the Cayenne will get phased out eventually? What about this car with a version of the new S4's engine; the 3.0 supercharged one tuned for 350 - 400 BHP? That might be pretty nice, lighter on the front end and maybe lighter on fuel as well.

I stopped the video well before this. It was so boring because he was mumbling. His opening line was: it has 4 doors which the best drivers Porches don't. See, prejudice from the outset.

Great review Matt. I suspect the chap who wants a blond in high heels to do the reviews is an American. Lets keep it honest eh lads. Noticed the brake lights were flashing in the shots Matt. Was this under heavy breaking or standard at all points down the pedal.

Matt Prior isn't "the presenter". He's a top driver working as a top road tester at the worlds best car magazine.

I couldnt hear anything matt was saying because of the annoying background music???.  I'm very impressed with the design of the car.  Porsche have had it on the books for years.  I love the interior.  Its so Porsche.  If I had the money, I'd certainly get it.  Up to now the Cayman S has been my favourite Porsche.

AFAIK it was the LED lights showing artifacts with video cameras. To vary perceptible brightness, LEDs can be dimmed using PWM where they are switched on and off rapidly. It's the human's persistence of vision that fills the "gaps" or periods of LEDs switched off, but cameras usually pick them up.
