  • Ford to limit Econetic range

    Ford is not planning to extend its Econetic range to the Ka, Kuga or its MPVs.

    A spokesman for the car maker said it would only be applied to the Fiesta, Focus and Mondeo because there is not enough customer demand for greener versions of the other models.

    The Econetic treatment, which features aerodynamic and engine tweaks, cuts fuel consumption but adds a small price premium.

    Sounds good to me. Making econnetic versions of every model is unnessary, and likewise there is no need for expensive hybrids if they can come out with decent economical petrols and diesels.

    Fair enough. Howver the option of stop/start on everything would be useful. It should be cheap to do as well with cruise control and heavy duty batteries already on the price list of most models.
