    Magna's bid to buy Vauxhall/Opel has been thrown in to doubt once again, after Germany's economy minister announced that he had reopened the auction process.

    At a press conference in Berlin Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg and Lord Mandelson, the UK's business secretary, warned that they had received only a memorandum of understanding from Magna International and that they were keen to talk to other bidders.

    Magna have put 300 million Euros in to Vauxhall/Opel and is doing the Due Dilligence. In other words it is "Sold subject to Contract."

    Once again Lord Meddlesome, despite past relationship with Oleg Deripaska is trying to gain some influence and credibility. What is the square root of nothing?

    A non story really.

    I think the bid doesn't really need to go through Vauxall/Opel will be able to cope the make very good quality cars.
