I'm sorry, but this is not all that, its not pretty, its not feral,it makes a wonderful noise being revved, but when you get inside it shouts! "i'll give you 1000 camels for one",it will sell well in Saudi Arabia and that other well known country with the car mad king, the interior looks just awful, full of shiny chrome,(which looks like it came from Halfords)the instrment cowl looks like an after thought, the seats look just plain gaudy, why didn't they have a look at the interior of the DS concept Citroen, that's French design, understated yet just enough to make it classy, nope, i think the One-77 is a minger,a car made because we could, and some of the design cues needed a bit more discussion/developement.

Wow, okay, I take a lot of what I said back - that looked a lot better in the video than on any of the stationary shots, and some of the detailing was simply fantastic.

Worth £1.2m? before seeing this video my answer was no, now - maybe.

Can't get enough of that Volkswagen and Audi stuff...

Me too, scepticism is starting to wane...rapidly. Don't really like astons that much most of the time (mainly just because i'm fed up of hearing people bang on about them) but I would definately have one over a Veyron, Zonda though?????

I'm actually beginning to enjoy some of these video's. "Vee Vill Zell 77 of ziz not 71, 72, I zed 77"

"I vill think about letting you drive the car" Steve panting at the Captains offer. Reminds me a bit of Hogan's Hero's. No offense Steve but Rowan A would have handled this interview better. Doctor seems to think this car is so special that no one less than a Bilderberger...

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Bilderberg_attendees

...could possibly drive one. Silly business.

Anyway what really would be nice is if Aston could use the technology for production cars. Its becoming now a bit rich now for makers to continue to claim that they can't make light weight cars- well except for 100's of thousands$$...when lotus have already shown plainly it is easy and can be done relatively cheaply. I bet if Mr. Becker or Mike Cross were to drive this collosis they would be only moderately impressed, on most uk roads it would not keep up with a supercharged evora- just a prediction but lets see.

Strangely Aston (high 20k's) claim ridigty figures for this masterverk that actually are worse than a Porsche 997. And last I can just see those wide hips getting stuck into some sort of entrance way or tunnel and the owner having the good Professor arrive in his copter for some roadside assistance exclaiming 'get ze authorites to tear ze building down, now!!!'

     Strange times these..

To me it seems like it was a project given to a new boy who joined Aston Martin on a foreign exchange scheme, possibly from Chrysler and was told: 'Here lad, draw us something that looks fast but mind you don't forget to put in a big grill so that everyone knows it came out of Gaydon' - and away he went, full of beans and dreams of designing something that would eventually be toned down and made into a thing of beauty which bore the genetic, classical elegance of its ancestors.

Sadly it appears that everyone signed off on the design apart from the one department which thankfully adds copious amounts of good taste and we've been robbed of a part of Aston Martin's history which would have produced a vehicle that kicked Bugatti's butt whilst looking as if it was taking a leisurely tootle to Royal Ascot, a car that burst onto the world's scene and announced 'I'm 77, One-77' in a voice created by Ian Flemming - sadly it staggered into Geneva drinking a bottle of cider and eating a kebab like a chav outside your local off license.

Thank god they're only making seventy-seven of them - which will all be sold to chavs - who'll crash them quickly and do us all a favour.

They've even failed in their original mandate of making it the 'new' fastest car on the planet.

It's akin to a five year old redoing the Mona Lisa and expecting everyone to go whoo - just like the original.

Wow, which area do you live in that has billionaire chavs? Russia?

Come on, you have to admit its a car that got built and went through developement and nobody didn't like some part of its design,i think the head of design was shown one design and the department built the one that person didn't see!, and like i said ,"its a minger!"

Just because someone has money doesn't preclude them from being a chav. I could list numerous pop stars, footballers, media personalities who slip effortlessly into that catagory without beginning to stretch my imagination.

This will turn out to be a monsterous carbuncle blighting the history of Aston Martin for years to come.

It's utterly divine. And I am not a chav. Look, I can even spell AND communicate in properly written sentences!
