DB9 looks much better...

How can you say that!

For visual drama, this has the (bland by comparison) DB9 licked.

Chrome steering wheel inserts - Classy and understated. Bravo.

£1.2 million, eh? Blimey, things I could do with that amount of money......

I like the rear lights but otherwise I prefer the DB9, DBS or Vantage.  What were Aston thinking with those HIDEOUS vertical front air vents, most recently seen on the equally hideous optional bodykit for the Seat Leon (http://www.carpages.co.uk/seat/seat_images/seat_leon_22_01_06.jpg)

THe car does look at lot more special than other Aston offerings but still doesn't look £1.2m special (to me anyway) - maybe I'll have to see it in the metal first - will it make it to any motorshows?

Just watched the latest vid - car looks, & sounds, rather splendid + Dr B's genuine passion & enthusiasm is refreshing. However, those grey plastic wiper/indicator stalks (sourced from a Jag XJ?) seem a tad incongruous among the leather, ally & stainless-steel - surely production cars will have bespoke items, won't they..? (Rearrange following words into a familiar phrase: 'breath... don't... your... hold...'!)

Thank god others feel the same way- I thought Astons were supposed to be about understatement. Those intakes are gross. It would be interesting to see what people had thought if Bangle had designed this.

I suppose its a matter of taste. To call this car ugly would be very unfair as it evidently isn't. But can something so ostentatious ever really be considered beautiful?

 

I personally think this car was a mistake. I would much have prefered the proper replacement for the vanquish that we were promised.
