noluddite:One million for an American V8 engined supercar, built by Citroen. What a mind bogglingly silly idea. Sillier indeed than the Maserati engined SM, Citroens last foray into supercardom. And at one tenth of the price by todays standards that was a total flop too. Whose ego is being massaged here? Or is this really going to sell more tin shopping trolleys. For heavens sake Citroen, spend the money on design engineers and make your cars more robust and reliable.
If they can make money on it, and people want to buy it, why the heck not.
From the other side, this will probably be an after hours project for the engineers. If I was engineer at Citroen I'd be really quite excited about getting my teeth in to something like this!
The halo effect is more than just selling cars. The feel good it would give the whole Citroen staff would do the company good.
It's all about the twisties....
