Mitsubishi has unveiled the most powerful Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X to date, the FQ-400.

The car now has 403bhp and 387lb ft of torque, and will accelerate to 62mph in 3.8 seconds, and on to a limited top speed of 155mph.

But what will drink to the mile?   One gallon, two???   ;-)

However, it's the £ 50k price tag that's really something.

Further, I'd read elsewhere on a long term report where for a FQ-300 it was asking to be serviced after just 4,000 miles, much less than the 10,000 stated by Mitshubishi.    I'm sure it's a fantastic car to drive, but you've got to be committed to even consider buying one.

£50,000 for a low-rent repmobile/pensioner conveyance on steroids .... Who in their right mind would pay Nissan GT-R money for one of these?

    It's around £15,000 too dear.

now I should be called 44 cars so far ... and 21 motorbikes !

I know I know, however I love cars like this and (with my head down in my hands) I would have one.
Alex - The Impreza has gone. Long live the Fiesta!

Only £15K Too dear!,so you must think the Focus RS is a steal then? after all it may not be nutter fast, but its still the better everyday car, more comfortable, doesn't have a drink problem like every Evo on the road.No ,the best value for money at around £28K has to be the Focus RS!

    Committed in the 'institutionalised' sense.

Service every 3 miles, engine rebuild every 10 miles, fuel economy around 2mpg and effective range from the tiny tank of slightly less than that. No wonder M3's & RS4's have stolen all the sales -all their previous customers have grown up and now wont accept those levels of impracticality.

Mitsubishi have to either build some usability into the car, or pump millions back into WRC to rebuild its degenerated fan base to be able to sell this.
