Honda has banned all global business trips for its employees in response to the fears over the spread of swine flu. The suspension will be in place until at least 6 May.

Honda is also reported to be considering sending home the families of Japanese workers at its production facilities in Mexico, where the swine flu outbreak began. Production at Honda’s Mexican plants has not as yet been affected.

Wife's a doctor and is banging her head against the wall over this.

It's a stain of flu, thats all - slightly stonger but not really any more dangerous. We get a flu pandemic every 5 years across the planet, always have, always will. We just have more active press.

It's no more dangerous than bird flu was. If you're really young or really old its not good for you, just like any other flu, but if youre fit and healthy you'll just feel rubbish for a few weeks (just like any other flu!)

So to sum up... The press are massive scaremongers who want to sell papers, and swine flu, just like bird flu, is a slightly stronger version of flu, so JUST LIKE EVERY OTHER FLU!!!

At least it gives the Daily Mail something to write about other than house prices and asylum seekers.

Hmmmm I read people in their 20's are dying too... it seems to effect people of all ages...

Funny how no press articles mention that up to 12,000 people die from cold and flu related ilnesses in the UK every year!

Scares sell papers and fill 24hour rolling news channels - get a grip!

Well I'm all for people politely wearing masks out of courtesy when they have cold and flu, just like Japan, but I cant really see it catching on.

As for the Swine flu itself, it's going to be about as dangerous to a healthy person as bird flu was.
