Mazda has revealed a mildly facelifted CX-9 SUV at the New York motor show.

Exterior changes to the Mazda CX-9 include a switch to the now familiar Mazda lower grille, a reworked upper grille, a new bumper design and modified headlamps, tail lamps and wing mirrors. The alloy wheels on the show car are also a new design.

Inside, there's a new seating position, modified door trim materials, larger control switches and a new audio display and centre console design.

The Mazda CX9 doesn't have the same design fluency that the CX7 has. (or had until its recent unneccessary facelift)

The design is too restricted by the volume of required interior space.
