    Mazda's design chief Laurens van den Acker has left the company to pursue other interests.

    Dutchman van den Acker is the second star designer to quit his post this week - design director Steve Mattin has left Volvo.

    That's a pity - Laurens van den Acker had done some great things at Mazda recently - the Furai concept was amazing - any idea where he's going?

    Can't get enough of that Volkswagen and Audi stuff...

    The Furai was designed by Franz von Holzhausen not Larens van den Acker..

    Franz has also left Mazda last year and works at Tesla
