    What is it?

Cadillac’s comeback car which, along with the CTS saloon, will relaunch the moribund US luxury brand on the UK.

The new BLS Wagon is an estate version of the BLS saloon, a car that’s been on sale since 2005, but hardly made any impact with UK buyers. Based on the Saab 9-3, the BLS Wagon has a new roof, new glass and new sheetmetal from the B-pillar aft. It’s a few millimetres longer than a BLS saloon, but that’s merely down to the design of the new rear bumper. O...Read the full article

I could swear that those are the alloys formerly fitted to the top spec Rover 75s.

    Yawn.

As much as I don't like drawing attention to Autocar's mistakes, did anyone else with a copy of this week's magazine notice that despite testing the 1.9D BLS the picture used to illustrate the engine is that of the 2.8 V6 turbo?

Talk about Expensive, why do you Brits get ripped off when it comes to buying cars?  Do you know that this car costs more than all of the base model Cadillacs in the entire range sold in here the US, and this is the Baby Caddy?  This costs more than the US: DTS, CTS, and STS.

Dont Underestimate the Hyundai. Superior Korean Build Quality is of value to the: overpriced, overated, and over the hill Japanese. All Japan has left in the top 3 US Rankings in Quality is Lexus, and Hyundai is right on their tail.

Not any more we don't. I am getting an economical plodding 1.9 150 bhp deisel Wagon on Friday for just £15,772. Climate Control, Cruise, Sat Nav, Auto dimming mirrors, Xenons, Bose Sound, mutli adjustable seats and steering wheel and 40 mpg fully loaded on the test drive. I think I will miss the 300 bhp BMW in the week, but enjoy the comfort and fuel savings on my work travels. I don't fancy the "warmer" versions as they'll not be that sporty whatever the brochure claims. Just think my £15,772 for a new BLS wagon isn't even going to get a basic Focus Estate. I reckon this is one of the best value "New"Cars available today. A low spec 3 Series Touring would cost £10,000 more, and yes I've had a new shape 3 series - they're fantastic, but hardly good value when it comes to trade in time. I lost £14,500 in less than 12 months on mine. The Cadillac may depreciate, but not by 90% in 12 months I bet.
