This is the Infiniti Essence, a styling experiment that could give clues to the shape of a future performance hybrid from the Japanese manufacturer.

I'm slightly bemused by this concept  - good looking but doesn't move the game on when Fisker is already putting something similar but more advanced into production?

It comes across as a little self indulgent when it's never going to be made, and displays design cues that either already exist in the Infiniti range or cannot be put into production because of manufacturing constraints.

Concepts that aren't intended for production should at least showcase the future design direction of a company, rather than just sending the message - "hey, we're doing performance hybrids too, you know"

I wonder does Infiniti's HQ building have a little sticker in the back window saying:

"BANGLE-ON-BOARD"
