This is terrible news for Ford and the public because most competitors have a hot hatch version even if they are unlikely to make much a profit on them because they get the publics attention on the model and will help shift more cars which I admit ford right now do not need with the Ford Fiesta but all of there competitors are getting there hot hatches in this price range out for a reason to get the publics attention and also most people are downsizing and I know quite a few do not want to give up a fast car and one that looks special and Ford could get those people easily with the Ford Fiesta ST which sadly Ford will lose out to all the competitors on that one and those hot hatches will help there sales.
This is generally known by the car industry for example the Golf GTI they say they do not sell very many of them but they say something like 25 percent of sales of the lower spec Golfs would not be possible without it.
For the public is bad news because that would be a fantastic car to own and see on the roads.
There goes my plan for having the New Ford Fiesta ST for my next car down the drain.
