  • Seat unveils hybrid concept

    Seat has unveiled the Leon Twin Drive Ecomotive at its Martorell R&D facility near Barcelona.

    The hybrid concept will spawn a production vehicle, possibly by 2014.

    Production versions of Twin Drive Seats will be able to run on purely electric power in urban areas, but will switch to an internal combustion engine – most likely diesel-fuelled – for longer journeys.

     Fashionably late to the party SEAT?

    I am guessing SEAT are using the recently discarded Audi technology.  I suppose this covers every base for the VW group then, so they can continue to develop the hardware just in case it is found to be the way to go.

    It's all about the twisties....
