Skoda has launched a limited-edition version of the Skoda Octavia vRS.

Just 500 will be made, each getting limited-edition multi-spoke 18-inch alloys, a touch-screen infotainment system and custom leather seats. Engine options remain the same, with the choice of the 197bhp 2.0-litre TFSI petrol engine or the 2.0 TDI common-rail turbodiesel, producing 168bhp.

Also does anyone have any news about the MkII Fabia vRS?

A good old fashioned special edition.

Can't blame them really, the Octavia has dropped off the radar recently.  As they say, any publicity is good publicity.

Apparently its not due for another year, and when it does come it will be petrol only this time round... 1.4TSi.

It's based on the current (08) model. AFIK they are all built, so no factory fit options like Xenons.

Don't think the facelifted VRS is due till the middle of the year.
