Mitsubishi has resurrected the 400bhp Evo with this UK-only model, the Mitsubishi Evo X FQ-400.

The new car, developed by Mitsubishi UK and its race team builder ADR Motorsport, promises to be the fastest and most expensive Evo yet.

The 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbo engine has been boosted with revised ECU programming and a new exhaust to produce around 405bhp, although Mitsubishi hasn’t finalised the figures.

More important, it has around 400lb ft of torque, which will...Read the full article

Sorry to be pedantic, but the car is a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution - why does everybody leave the model name out?

Life itself is not long enough to pronounce the full name.

    Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X FQ-400.

    Phew.

Mind you, I guess we should all get in practise for the new BMW naming policy!!

    It's all about the twisties....

And will as the old FQ400 did or will in indeed better the silly if driven hard 112 miles fuel tank range?! . This is a car for track days not everyday and to try and charge as much as Nissan does for the GTR i mean are they saying its as good as that?. Know what think should be brought in as a government legislation all cars in different categories should have minimum range full tanks ie small cars 250mls, family cars  600mls,sports cars etc a minmum of 350mls, live to hear some comments on that suggestion, and no its not as daft as think, i wouldn't want to have to stop every two hours in my FQ400 to refuel not to mention the costs, i mean its like owning a supercar and its inherent costs in a car that going to lose have its value in two years, its just plain stupid to make a car that needs petrol every week just to goto Tesco! , in theory if you used it every day you could be filling it up every day! so unless your well minted its a no brainer buy something else for your thrills.
