This is what happens when you get a metal-bashing engineering company run by Wall Street hedge funders in the form of Cerberus. They only bought it off Daimler because the wiseguys thought they'd buy it for a song or at least be able to asset strip it. Not so wise now. Chrysler must be burning through cash and in imminent danger of taking down the whole outfit - Cerberus Capital Management in faraway New York City. Typical wiseguy move to start welshing on deals. Getrag have had no problem working with Ford in Europe on DSG boxes and are in partnership with Ford at Cologne, Halewood and in Sweden(Volvo) for full service supply. The sooner Chrysler, or rather Cerberus gets lost the better for the real auto industry.
