  • Rolls-Royce sales rise

    Rolls-Royce has defied the slowing economy to report increased sales figures, proving that the very top end of the car market is remaining buoyant.
    The company says worldwide sales rose by more than seven per cent last month. In contrast, parent company BMW saw global sales slide by 15 per cent during the same period.
    September results take Rolls-Royce’s overall figures for the year so far to 827 units – an increase of more than 40 per cent on the same period in 2007.

    And I'm sure the £500bn UK taxpayer banker welfare fund will pep up no-end the order books at Rolls-Royce. Put each CEO and bank chairman down for a couple of Phantoms each. Pity the £20,000 per head extra taxes will kibosh sales of new Astras, Civics, Freelanders(all UK built), etc.etc.. No matter.

    I wouldn't worry Rolls-Royce and BMW, your sales will also collapse in the near future.
