Remember this: we’ll never see the Peugeot 205 GTi 1.9’s like again. Regulations make it impossible to build a car as light as the 205. And some of the GTi’s flaws and its bad manners in town would not be acceptable today. Nor could we now tolerate its patchy build quality and the inevitable rattles that came with miles and hard driving. So despite following in that car’s footsteps, not to mention the 309 GTi and 106 XSi, the GTi-6 has a different set of priorities. Read the full article

    I miss mine!

I know it's 12 years old now and because its a 90's Peugeot, it will rattle and panels will probably fall off, but you can pick these up for pennies now!  Fantastic fun and highly recommended to anyone who hasn't tried one.

Interesting to see that what you would have paid twelve years ago is about the same sort of money as you pay for an equivalent today.

    It's all about the twisties....

Brilliant car, No if's or but's it's just brilliant, However I will have to complain about the stats that you have quoted. It has been recorded by many people using fancy sensors and all that, that this car will do 0-60 in 7.2 seconds and top out at 140 mph It's brilliant though...

Autocar's tests seem pretty accurate, so I'd guess that it's the car rather than their kit that's the problem.

The fact that it topped out in fifth gear would seem to indicate that it was down on power - my old one would keep pulling in 6th after running out of revs in 5th.
