    Toyota is poised to unleash a radical re-think of the classic supermini. Senior company sources have admitted that several radical new models are on the drawing board.

    Have you seen how close the rear passenger's head is to the rear hatch? Would NOT like to be sitting in the back of one of these when hit by a Range Rover. Or even if hit by a Smart.

    Didn't I read all this several months ago in Autocar's Toyota iQ design story? I'm sure that mentioned a new four-metre seven-seat supermini coming in a couple of years. Is this a classic case of Autocar's left hand not knowing what its right hand is doing? It's certainly not news.

    Lets hope the new small car revolution includes a better interior. Even in the digitally enhanced pictures it looks awfully nasty and cheap. And does it have a boot?
