Autocar - First for car news and reviews

We’ve got details and pictures of another new all-electric car. Called the MyCar, it has been designed by Giugaro and will make its debut at the British Motor Show tomorrow.
The rising cost of fuel and road tax are anticipated to trigger a strong rise in the demand for all-electric vehicles like the MyCar. It will be sold by the Nice Car Company and has a claimed 40 mile range.

8 hrs to top up, 40 miles range, two major hurdles for me at least.  Would run out 1/3 of the way into the day.  

I know a motorbike does this already, but why can't anybody make a decent one person car.......?

 

 

People, the bloody electricity has to come from somewhere. It means that instead of your car producing the pollutants some power station does it instead. Electric cars are a total waste of time.

This is getting uncanny, we agree yet again and your comment about pollutants from power stations is one I made some months ago on another blog on this site, and at the time I remember getting shouted down.

I'm really just copying you, John. I struggle with independent thought. I'm leading the campaign for thinking inside the box and staying in one's comfort zone. The world would be so much easier. Bloody trouble makers and their lateral thought. No thanks.
