I read Porsche UK sales are down 20% on last year in the UK
and I am glad. I bought a new 911 C4S in 2004, it cost me £77k. One year later I
got rid of it and Porsche offered me £52k! But what made me walk away from
Porsche as a whole is their arrogance. I will never buy a Porsche again. They assume
you are content to buy into the ‘lifestyle’ of Porsche ownership whilst they
continue to dilute the 911 range with more and more variations. The 911 is a
common car and they depreciate. Sales are down because they all look the same. Porsche
should limit the 911 range and keep it as high end exclusive model. The 911 is a sports
car, so charging extra for a sport exhaust is a joke. I can understand the
Aerokit and Ceramics etc being an option, but not a sports exhaust. I am glad
Porsche are introducing the Panamera and the Cayman is a great addition. So why
Porsche persist in diluting the 911 range and
having up to £60k difference between certain variations in the models is beyond
me.
Did anyone else feel that Mel Gibson's remake of the
'Life of Brian' wasn't anywhere near as funny as the original?
