As for the best bargains, there are tonnes out there, you just have to know where to look. Normally it is cars that are considered as "average" when they are new. When they become used though, there can be some stunning bargains to be had. Just depends on what you want.
Still think my Fiat Cinquento at £180 was a complete bargain! I've since sold it (for a profit) but it went everywhere with a competence that you would not expect for the money.
