  • GT-R buyers get free ‘Ring tuition

    Nissan UK has launched its Race Academy programme for GT-R pre-order customers. Those who’ve placed an order for the new 473bhp supercar will be able to attend a one-day even at either Silverstone or the Nurburgring before their cars arrive, getting a chance to drive the GT-R and to receive one-on-one tuition.
    Prospective owners will get a 45 minute session in the GT-R – and will also get a chance to learn the subtle art of drifting in a 350Z.

    Sadly this is not quite total fact. The initial driving sessions are bookable at Silverstone or the Nurburgring, but the latter is on the GP circuit rather than on the Nordschliefe. Pity really, but in reality i suspect that this would result in a large pile of bent cars for Nissan!

    Yes - I have booked my place at the Nurburgring for the final afternoon slot on 18th September - the engines should be nicely loosened up by then ......
