    Our spies tell us that this is a test mule for the long-awaited new Honda NSX. Fresh shots from the Nurburgring reveal this very Japanese-looking sports car, which is running on the same wheels and exhaust configuration as the long wheelbase S2000 that Honda used as an NSX prototype last year.

    The Japanese onslaught against the 'junior' supercars like the 911, R8, Gallardo, F430, Corvette et al continues. And all appear to be adopting the front engine layout so far following the GT-R and Toyota (Lexus). And all with the potential to make their US and Euro rivals look silly and expensive. Who next from the land of the rising sun?

    My thoughts exactly. However, a V10 as the powerplant makes me think it may be slightly nose-heavy. If the weight distribution is spot on this will be the making of a truely ground breaking car which follows in the footsteps of the giant slaying GT-R, and to some extent the original NSX for that matter.

    In my opinion Honda should have stuck with a mid engined lay out and used a smaller capacity turbocharged engine with the emphasis on sublime handling and body control rather that outright power and straight line speed.
