  • See inside the Vauxhall Insignia

    Jun 04, 2008 6:58 PM

These are the first official pictures of the new Vauxhall Insignia’s interior.
We brought you pics of Vauxhall’s new Mondeo rival earlier this year, when leaked images of the interior were also revealed. These new pictures show in detail what you can expect from the new, more premium executive Vauxhall.
Some neat details include the ‘night-time appearance’ of the instrument lighting, which changes from w...Read the full article

Very nice - looks warm and inviting. I much prefer it to the Mondeo. Mazda 6's interior is nice, but every so slightly plasticky in places. Citroen C5 interior also nice, but lots of useless cubbyholes darted around the dashboard. The Laguna's interior will be the one to beat, and it looks as if Vauxhall may have cracked it. Especially love the way it looks as if it will cocoon the driver and passenger. Very cosy indeed.
I've got an Aygo and a Meerkovonian meerkat :)

It's nice, the only problem I can see with it is the badge on the front... It's a Vauxhall?

Nice Dashboard, but looking at the instrument binnacle i would say AUDI and VW should take it as a compliment that GM has copied them so obviously

The steering wheel is horrible - what is it with that massive centre spoke.

Hope the seats are better than the Vectra.

Had a hire Vectra a couple of months ago through work (2.2 Elite with leather) for a journey from Staffs to London and back, I was constantly fidgeting and extremely uncomfortable.

The office Astra is the same, Vauxhall can't make seats to suit me for some reason.

I used to have a Corsa and I agree that unless the basic shape of GM seats have changed then I would never own a GM car.  I had to sell the Corsa because it played havoc with my back.

I used to do a weekly commute in our old Corsa to London and back, I agree, it was murder.

Mind you, the old chain driven 1.2 16v engine was a gem.

    I used to have the 1.6 16v - it was fast..........in a straight line.

I picked up one of the first 1.7 diesel Corsa's for the RAF.........it broke down.

Well to be fair, MOD workshops skimped on the acceptance/initial check.....apparently, there was hell to pay. I made sure of that after they blamed me for driving it too hard.

I'd only driven half a mile in it. Twonks.

Quite attractive but way too many buttons on the centre console.  This seems to be a real problem at Vauxhall!!

Vauxhall seats give me back ache also, I had to hire a Meriva and drove it to Glasgow from Manchester and back, bloody half killed me.

The Insignia looks really good, but look at the button count on the dashboard, while not a problem for me it will be a problem for the Autocar road testers. For proof, read the report on the latest Accord and the Vauxhall looks to have more!!!

Lets see if they can be consistent.
