    What is it?


    It’s the Alpina B3 cabrio, which is basically Alpina’s version of the M3 cabrio.


    This is the first 3-Series convertible to feature a folding metal roof rather than a canvas hood, remember, so all the extra benefits of strengthening and security enjoyed by the regular 335i cabrio (on which the B3 is unashamedly based) are passed on unhindered.

    Autocar, text says 360bhp, 5sec 0-60 and 175mph top speed, info box says 305bhp, 6.6sec 0-60 and top speed165mph!

    Judging by the text, the 55bhp extra horses to 360bhp and lift to 368lb torque makes this a possible M3 beater on the motorway. Sounds a very sorted and potent car over the already very impressive 335i and at £50k loaded up with extras in the Cabrio version Alpina have a very good alternative/addition to the BMW ranges line-up.
