And beautiful – so long as you’re into cars that cost £230,000, weigh 2665kg and are largely made by hand from unfathomably exotic materials.

Today I have spent a couple of hours with a Brooklands and can report that it is wonderful. You have hit the nail on the head by saying that it is for a different type of customer to the GT range. The old girl still has the character of the Arnage but steers 20% better in the same way that a speeb betters a normal gt. The interior is wonderful although decent nav would be good (not the stupid remot control one that you get on arnage) and I wouldn't have minded adjustable reach on the steering wheel. That drive train has definately been improved with the 6 speed box (that you now get on the arnage) although with all that torque it almost does not need it. But the great thing about it is there aren't many around in a world where bentleys are two-a-penny!

I have a weekend job that gives me access to a few bits and bobs! Better still it was Dr. Paefgens car and it had a full tank of fuel, cheap fun!

The company I work for wangled it because we had some use for it. Don't really want to let on more than that. But I can let on that i am not that high flying, just a little bit lucky with holding onto the keys and making sure i kept them! Although I did find the cars status a little bit out of sync with mine!
