Mad, bad and dangerous to know.  Time for a press launch inside Ken's emissions zone?

Ohhh.... I know its bad.  I know its fast becoming a dinosaur in todays eco conscious world, but its great to know that the Aussies can still make them like this.

I've got far more time for car like this than any for the rubbish (Dodge Charger etc.) that is being produced by the American manufacturers at the moment.

Wouldn't it be a pain in the proverbial to have to refill it every 200 miles though ? I'd still love one !

I don't understand why Holdens have to be badged as Vauxhalls in the UK. I am sure it would open up the market for them if they stuck with the original Australian branding. After all, Vauxhall will never be associated with upmarket high performance products as these cars undoubtedly should.

    Holden's HSV division also unveiled what they're calling Australia's fastest supercar...the W427.

370kW and 640Nm of torque...due in Australia in the third quarter it's expected to cost around AU$150k. And is estimated to go from 0-100km/h in a blink over 4 seconds.

    Looks ugly but..

I agree. GM's badge engineering ethos for most of its brands is a con and does not help these marque's reputation or heritage. You can buy identical Vectras, Corsas and Astras around the world with a different badge. It may cost more GM, but just share platforms and lets see unique styling for each marque come to the fore and start expanding each brand worldwide.

Yummy, another oversized Vauxhall with a mesh grille, red bits on the seats and a V8 engine that even buyers of M5s consider too gauche to contemplate. And GM don't go a great length to develop individual brands and model identities worldwide because a. The buyers of 95% of their vehicles don't care and b. They are broke.
