  • Porsche to unveil racing hybrid

    A hybrid Porsche 911 will race at the Nurburgring 24 Hours this year, and could form the basis of a car for a return to Le Mans with an LMP1 prototype.

    Reports suggest the Porsche 911 GT3-RSR is being prepared to run as a petrol-electric hybrid, using an F1-style KERS system.

    Porsche has refused to comment on the car, but an announcement is expected later this week.

    Could be right, couldn't it?, but what about the safety issues?,wasn't a BMW technician given an electri shock from this system?,maybe it'll work in racing but road cars i have my doubts.
