    Mikko Hirvonen gave Ford’s new Fiesta S2000 victory at Rally Monte Carlo this weekend on the car’s competitive debut.

    Hirvonen took time off from being Ford’s lead driver in the World Rally Championship to finish almost two minutes ahead of the nearest challenger.

    This was a S2000 Fiesta, next years will be a S1600T, with a 1.6L Turbo engine. If Ogier hadn't have lost 2mins due to 'snow chucking' spectators, he would have been ahead of Hirvonen, however he retired on the road section before the second loop on Friday night of Turini.

    I am disappointed by the lack of interest shown by people in the 'Monte'  - there is more to Motorsport than F1!!!
