    I have owned an S-Max for 2 years and although it is a good drive, and very practical for 3 kids, it has had a recurring electrical fault  - essentially the battery drains randomly and sometimes within 1 hour from fully charged.  All garages seem incapable of fixing it, which is surprising given it is apparantly a relatively frequent fault.  This has outweighed all its positive aspects.

     If buying an S Max I would recommend a detailed check of the electrical system
